| "What in the world is a"Soft Graphic?" | ||
|
|
"Soft Graphic" is a term I made up: it is a media half-way between 'soft sculpture' and 'graphic,' or drawing. These pieces are one-of-a-kind constructions, made of fabric, drawn on with permanent inks, and encased in plexi-glass boxes. They are the product of many hours, sore hands and broken finger nails, but have been well received and have earned many awards. "Soft Graphics" are, for me, a media for social commentary, usually expressing an opinion, an observation (I confess to being a compulsive people-watcher), or simply humor, and I am always delighted when the viewer finds his own 'story' in them. Please enjoy viewing them and finding your own meanings: I'd LOVE to hear what you think! marjorietrout@earthlink.net |
